Our roots go back to World Soccer Partners, a football company established in 2012, which worked across multiple countries and built strong foundations in global football development.
Since the start of 2025, Football Events has officially expanded to become an international organization, further strengthening our commitment to serving clubs, coaches, and players worldwide.
Today, Football Events continues that work with a sharper focus—helping clubs, coaches, and players grow with the demands of the modern game. We design and deliver tailored development programs, elite training experiences, and international opportunities that open doors and raise standards.

Joonas Kolkka, former professional player and UEFA A licensed coach, and
Vesa Korhonen, UEFA Pro licensed coach and osteopath, with decades of international coaching and development experience.

Joonas Kolkka is a highly accomplished former professional footballer and Finnish national team player, with 98 international caps. Over his 20-year career, he played in the top leagues of the Netherlands, Germany, England, and Greece, representing clubs such as PSV Eindhoven, Panathinaikos, Crystal Palace, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Feyenoord.
Among his career highlights are winning the Dutch league title with PSV and competing in the UEFA Champions League. Following his playing career, Joonas worked as a talent coach at the PSV Eindhoven Academy, focusing on the development of youth players aged 13 to 17.
Today, he brings his deep knowledge, experience, and international perspective to Football Events, leading our development programs with a strong focus on quality, professionalism, and player growth.

Vesa Korhonen is an experienced coach and coach educator who holds the UEFA Pro License—the highest professional coaching qualification in European football. His career spans over two decades in both Finnish and international football, with a strong focus on coach development, player growth, and club leadership.
In Finland, Vesa has served as a coach and head of coaching for several respected clubs, including HJK, PK-35, Finnair, FC Jokerit, and AC Allianssi. Internationally, he has worked in Luxembourg as Head of Coaching at FC Tricolore Gasperiche and has also organized football camps in collaboration with AC Milan.
Vesa has played an important role in Finnish football development through his work with the Helsinki district of the Finnish Football Association, where he acted as a coach educator and led regional representative teams. He has also helped players gain valuable international experience, arranging training and trial opportunities abroad—for example, with FC Motherwell in Scotland.
In addition to his coaching expertise, Vesa is a trained osteopath and sports massage therapist. His holistic approach to player development and performance brings unique value to Football Events’ coaching and international programs.
