Our head coach, Joonas Kolkka, grew up in Lahti, and as a junior has won the SM skills competition a total of 5 times. However, he is best known for the Finnish national team and his professional career, where he has represented PSV-Eindhoven, Willem II, Panathinaikos, Crystal Palace, Ado Den Haag, Feyenoord, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Nac Breda and Texas Dutch Lions. Before Football Events, Joonas worked as a talent coach for the 13-17-year-olds of PSV EINDHOVEN’s Academy.
Vesa Korhonen has completed the UEFA Pro professional qualification. He has worked as a coach and coaching manager in, for example, the following clubs: HJK, PK-35, Finnair, Jokerit and Allianssi. Vesa has also worked in Luxembourg at football club FC Tricolore Gasperiche as a coaching manager and organized football camps for AC Milan. He has also been developing Finnish football in the Helsinki district of the Finnish Football Association as a trainer of coaches, as well as a responsible coach of the district teams. In addition, Vesa has taken players to train and play abroad (FC Motherwell, Scotland). Vesa is an osteopath and sports massage therapist by professional training.
Dutchman Jan van Loon is a real all-rounder and a walking knowledgebank in coaching and coach training. He has decades of experience as a junior and club coach, trainer and Academy director. Jan has worked in several countries and in wonderful clubs. From the Netherlands, PSV Eindhoven, Willem II, FC Utrecht and the Dutch Football Association are on the merit list. Arsenal in England and VFL Wolfsburg in Germany. In addition to this, over the years he has visited and helped numerous clubs in different parts of the world. Currently, Jan is the Head of Junior Development at Bengalore FC in India.
Jouni has a long career in football both as a player, coach and in the club administration. During his career, he represented several clubs in Ostrobothnia (VPS, FC Sport, Kiisto and Jurva-70). The career also includes one short visit to Kiffen in the capital region. In addition to his playing career, interesting football memories have also included bringing Liverpool’s International academy to Finland and working as a player-coach in the UN peacekeeping battalion team in southern Lebanon. Jouni has completed UEFA C-level training. He has a master’s degree both in Business Law and Social Sciences.
Mika Markkanen is our goalkeeper manager. Mika’s playing career includes the following clubs: Kuopio Pallokerho, Atlantis, VJS, MPS and Pk-35. As a coach, he has been involved with Allianss, Jokerie, Vjs, Mps, Pk -35 and the youth national team. Mika has also worked as a massage therapist for the national para ice hockey team.
Heini has a master’s degree in education and works as a special education teacher with young people. Heini’s current club is Espoo Palloseura. Heini has been a coach in girls’ and boys’ teams of different ages U7-U12 and as the head coach of the girls’ U12-U13 Academy team (T09 20/21, 21/22). Heini is currently the head coach of the girls’ 2011 Academy and TBSM 3rd coach. He has also coached the summer 2022 Palloliitto Helmariturnaus (T2008) Etelä 3 team and the SPL United team in the autumn 2022 Helmaripolku events.
Stelder is an experienced soccer expert who has coached junior players of various ages in the academies of Vitesse Arnhem and Go Ahead Eagles, among others. Stelder has coached men in several different clubs at different amateur levels. In addition, he has worked as a video analyst in the Netherlands and as a scout for the English Barnsley FC. Soccer camps are not new to Harrald either. Over the years, he has coached and visited many camps in several countries. Last time in Finland at our early year camps.
Uwe has been working with junior football for about seven years. He is a former player who, in addition to practical coaching, has received training in various academies around the world, including Estonia, Georgia, Spain, the USA, and England. His primary job these days is to organize KV-Football tournaments, football camps, and trips. In his spare time, he cheers for both his sons on the side of the field while they pursue their football careers.
Paula Myllyoja is a Finnish female soccer goalkeeper. Myllyoja has played for two years in her career for the Italian Serie A club Pink Bari, the Spanish RCD Espanyol, and the Greek PAOK, where she won the Greek championship. In Finland, she played in the main league for 19 years, representing teams such as Ilves, FC Honka, PK-35 Vantaa, and Åland United. She has won three Finnish championships and several minor medals. With these championships, she has also become familiar with Champions League matches in four seasons. Myllyoja has gone through the youth national team path and represented Helmarit since 2017. She made her national team debut in 2018 at the age of 34, playing in six national team matches. Myllyoja’s civilian profession is a classroom and physical education teacher.
Alain Didier-Six is a former player of the Cameroon national team, where he played at the same time as Samuel Eto’o, among others. In 2001, Alain played in the Veikkausliiga for Jokers in Finland. His playing career also includes teams such as Honka, ROPS, and Ponnistus. Alain Didier-Six has worked as a coach at Malmi Palloseura, helping players develop their own personal technical and motor skills.
NuVk, UEFA A / AmVt. With over 25 years of experience, Mika has already helped players succeed. His strengths are creativity, positivity and the desire to help and the ability to see strengths in players and help them as people to progress towards their own dreams. Mika has experience in coaching young people and working as a coaching manager. He has also worked for a long time in marketing, development, ideation and productization of the sport. Mika has worked as a coach e.g. In VPS, Fc Kiisto, Vifk, Norrvalla FF, I-JBK, Fc Sport, P-Iirot, Fc Korsholm teams and played from the age of 10 in several clubs until adulthood and was in training rings at all league levels. International cooperation in the development of the sport should be mentioned, e.g. In Sweden (Umeå Ik), Brazil’s national team (Women’s Olympic team), Spain (participation in the organization of camps).
Outi Alakurtti has worked as a coach in Junior football for almost 9 years. Outi has gained enthusiasm for coaching with his own child. Today, he works in Helsinki Ponnistus as a club coordinator and coaches boys born in 2016, B-girls and women. You can find your own player background in e.g. Raised by Lohjan Pallo and from the age of 11 in the women’s 1 league in Honga and Fc Kontu, where one season of the women’s league. Outi has played floorball in the women’s league for 10 years. Education: UEFA C and is currently undergoing UEFA B training.
